The Role As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered while supporting the day-to-day running of the service. Working alongside the management team, you will mentor Support Workers, promote best practice and help create a safe, positive and empowering environment where every individual can thrive. No two days are the same, but every day provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on someone’s life. Key Responsibilities Deliver outstanding person-centred care and support. Lead and support the staff team throughout each shift. Promote independence, dignity, choice and inclusion. Assist with personal care and daily living activities where required. Safely administer and record medication. Complete care plans, daily notes and incident reports accurately. Monitor individuals’ health, wellbeing and changing needs. Support positive behaviour and risk management strategies. Encourage participation in community activities and social opportunities. Build positive relationships with individuals, families and healthcare professionals. Mentor and support new team members. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, CQC standards and company policies. Passionate about supporting people to live independent and fulfilling lives. Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years’ UK experience working within adult health or social care. Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, or an experienced Support Worker ready to progress into a senior role. Experience supporting individuals with one or more of the following: Learning Disabilities Autism Mental Health Physical Disabilities Complex Care Epilepsy Behaviours that may challenge Experience administering medication. Shift Pattern This is a permanent full-time position, contracted to 40 hours per week, working on a planned rota. You will benefit from: Guaranteed full-time contracted hours.
